Figures from Rubik's snake assembly diagram drawing. Snake puzzle - smart toy

One of the popular toys of our time is Rubik's snake. The puzzle became a hit in the last century. But today it has not lost its relevance. The construction of the toy consists of isosceles triangular prisms - there are 24 of them. They are connected by rotating hinges. The snake puzzle develops perseverance, spatial thinking, imagination, logic and fantasy. She captivates both adults and children. In this article, we will introduce you to Rubik's snakes and show you how to collect a variety of shapes.

For fans of the Rubik puzzle, the creation of a ball is the most common shape. You can start assembling not only from the end of the toy, but also from its middle. In this case, there is no exact assembly algorithm. Any of the correct ways.

The addition scheme is as follows:

Watch the algorithm for assembling a snake into a ball in our video.

Cute kitten

Professor Rubik developed his idea with the aim of developing logical thinking and fine motor skills of hands. The mechanism of the toy is designed in such a way that different shapes can be folded: a dog, a cat, a swan, a bat, a ball, and so on. Over 50 interesting animal figures are collected from the snake. There are no algorithms for this, only human imagination.

Almost every child loves kittens. You have a unique opportunity to make a cute pet from a cube.

Here is such an original cat that the snake puzzle can assemble, the figure diagram is shown in our video.

Cobra

As already mentioned, the Rubik's puzzle helps to develop skills. Having such a toy at hand, you will spend your leisure time interestingly not only at home, but also during your lunch break at work, at recess at school, in transport, relaxing in the park, etc. The snake takes the second position after the Rubik's cube.

The Hungarian inventor developed it for those people to whom the cube never succumbed. The difference between them is that the snake does not have an addition algorithm. That is, the result can be anything. Mathematicians have calculated that the rotation mechanism of the puzzle allows you to collect over 90 quadrillion combinations, which include flowers, plants, animals, furniture, objects, buildings, birds, etc. A person for himself determines which forms to collect - complex or simple.

The "Cobra" figure is not considered difficult. Try folding it using the video instructions.

Elephant

By turning the snake mechanism, you can collect interesting figures. At first glance, it seems that assembling the combinations is not difficult. In fact, twisting a snake is easy, but to create an accurate figure, you need skills and abilities. The elephant is the largest animal. But with the help of a snake, you can collect it.

Detailed instructions are provided in the video. Take the snake in your hands and start creating an eared elephant.

Rocket

Boys will be interested in assembling the rocket. Children need these educational games. Basically, they make toys for themselves with their own hands. This includes puzzles. The snake is designed in such a way that the child develops during the game, learns new skills without knowing it. And for adults, puzzle assembly is useful. Over the years, memory deteriorates, and any thought processes activate the gyrus.

It is better to start learning with simple shapes. First, try building a rocket.

It should be noted that with the help of a snake, a variety of aircraft can be folded, for example, this one.

It all depends on the level of difficulty. If you wish, you can fold a few more varieties of the rocket.

Let's talk about the benefits of Rubik's snake. This puzzle combines play and study. During the assembly process, the child develops analytical and figurative thinking. He perceives the world in a new way. It is these qualities that will help the child adapt in adulthood.

We suggest watching a video with instructions for assembling the rocket.

Psychologists are convinced that the concrete results that the child came to independently have a beneficial effect on his general mood. He begins to believe in himself, becomes bolder and more active in any actions. The child's self-esteem rises. Finding the right solution enhances math skills. Therefore, develop the child and develop yourself. Watch the video to see what other shapes you can make with the snake puzzle.

The snake is designed for children over the age of 5 years. It consists of 24 triangles of the same size. The cabin's snake consists of 24 prisms connected in series with each other by a special spring mechanism with a rectangular cross-section. The Rubik's snake consists of 24 identical isosceles triangular prisms, connected in series by the midpoints of the side faces.

2x2x2 cube assembly scheme. video how to collect Rubik's snake! Following the cube, Rubik created an equally popular snake and the Magic Rings game. And here are 39 assembled models from Rubik's snake, but all are very small. This allows you to create hundreds of figures from Rubik's snake. Rubik's snake is one of the most popular puzzles of our time, created by the Hungarian inventor and sculptor Erno. Today we are going to make a Rubik's snake ball!

Rubik's Snake is a fun puzzle toy consisting of 24 prisms. These are isosceles, figures of the same shape and size, joined together by hinges. Thanks to the flexible connection, all parts rotate in different directions, while more than 200 various geometric and object figures can be made from a long strip.

Along with the cube of the famous Hungarian inventor of the Rubik snake, although it was invented almost 40 years ago, it is still popular. They love to rearrange prisms, creating new objects, not only children, but also their parents.

Who invented the puzzle

Erne Rubik is a world renowned inventor of puzzle toys. His homeland Hungary is proud of its sculptor, architect, teacher and designer. In the 80s of the last century, he founded his own furniture design studio, helped the country's talented inventors to realize their talent. In the 90s, he already founded his own technical academy.

His inventions - a cube, a snake, a clock, magic rings and a ball - are known to people all over the world. The surname of the great scientist, professor has become a household name. All children know the Rubik cube, but not all kids understand that this cube was invented by Professor Rubik from Hungary.

Snake composition

Outwardly, Rubik's snake looks like a long stick, consisting of 24 multi-colored parts. Now some manufacturers even produce copies of 36 elements. Each prism has a rectangular cross-section, which allows the parts to fit snugly against each other when turning.

This toy has circular joints, but now there are many fakes on sale in stores, in which all the elements are connected using a fishing line. It is better not to save money, but to buy a high-quality puzzle, because the game involves frequent turns and movement of prisms around its axis.

Use of the puzzle

Rubik's snake is not only an exciting but also a useful toy. In a playful way, the child develops logical thinking, the ability to navigate in space, stimulates the imagination, the ability to fantasize. In the creation of new figures, the development of fine motor skills of the hands and fingers takes place, which will be useful in further studies at school.

From the prisms that make up the Rubik's snake, you can make both two-dimensional and three-dimensional compositions. Starting with the assembly of the simplest structures - a broken line, triangle or rectangle - the child is fond of creating more complex figures.

The puzzle, invented by a talented inventor, can be taken with you on the road, on a trip to the dacha, or to give a sick kid to the hospital. She will lure the child and make him think about completing the task. The toy takes up a minimum of space, so that the travel bag does not weigh down. You can use two puzzles and collect figures for speed by arranging a competition. Let's look at a couple of examples of what you can make of a snake.

Assembling Rubik's Snake

To create a heart out of prisms, you need to fold a square. The excess edges should be turned inward, connecting the shapes at first at right angles to the sides. The following parts on one side and on the other must be turned upside down so that they fit snugly against each other.

Turn the end two prisms with their sides in the middle so that the bases form a right angle.

Making a dog

If you do not know how to make a dog out of Rubik's snake, then carefully consider the photo below. Since the puzzle consists of different colors, it is easy to guess which piece needs to be turned in which direction.

All connections are made inside the snake, and its edges serve as pointed tips of the ears and tail of the animal. If your puzzle consists of 36 elements, do not be discouraged, you can leave extra prisms in the center and make an elongated body of the dachshund.

This is the beauty of a toy. Even if something did not work out for you, then you can dream up and come up with a name for this "creation", and at the same time laugh.

Instructions

In order to make a ball out of a snake, you need to fold it into a straight line. Collect only from one side. Take the snake so that the outer triangle of the puzzle is in your left hand. Rotate the rest of the snake around this piece with your right hand. Rotate each piece only once 90 degrees. After each fold, move on to the next part of the snake. Collect in order without missing triangles. In this case, always turn the tail, the part relative to which you twist remains stationary.

Start assembling the ball from the snake, the actions are as follows: turn the part to the left, the next one to the left, turn the third part to the right, fourth to the left, fifth to the right, sixth again to the right, seventh to the left, eighth to the right, ninth to the left, tenth to the left again, eleventh to the right, the twelfth to the left, the thirteenth to the right, the fourteenth to the right, the fifteenth to the left, the sixteenth to the right, the seventeenth to the left, the eighteenth to the left again, the nineteenth to the right, the twentieth to the left, the twenty-first to the right, the twenty-second to the right and the last part to the left.

The snake ball is assembled. If you didn’t succeed, double-check against what you turned the puzzle pieces. You need to twist starting from the next part each time.

There is a certain sequence here, if you remember it, then it will be easier to collect. Turns in the same direction are repeated every 2 steps. At the same time, they alternate, if you start with the left, then the next ones will be right.

Everyone knows about the Rubik's cube, and it has long been a good way to train mental activity, logic and motor activity. Much fewer people know that there is a Rubik's snake - no less exciting and interesting puzzle that you can either buy in the store or make yourself out of wood, getting a lot of fun from the different configurations and shapes that it can take. Unlike the cube, Rubik's snake is a simpler puzzle, and therefore it is liked by many children and adults.

Instructions

Insert a drill with a diameter of 1.5-2.5 mm into the drill and, drawing a block into squares, drill a through hole in each square. The holes must be mutually perpendicular to each other.

You will need a sturdy rubber band to assemble the elements. If the cross section of the bar was no more than 25 mm, you can simply stretch the elastic through the holes of the parts, placing the parts in a strip, alternating colors one by one.

Tie metal rings at the ends of the elastic to secure the structure. With larger snake modules, they can be connected with screws with rubber buffers.

I touched on the topic of how to "tear" children and adults away from modern gadgets that have become a part of our life. Today I offer a ready-made solution on how to do this at least for a while.

"Those who were born in the USSR" will surely smile when they remember such "native" puzzles as Rubik's Cube and Rubik's Snake. Well, who has never held a colorful Rubik's Cube in their hands at least once in their life? Or maybe there are magic cube builders among you?

And who is Rubik, whose name is one of the most popular puzzles in the world?

By the way, Rubik's Cube is the world leader in terms of total sales. More than 350 million copies have been sold throughout the world during its existence!

About puzzle creator Ernö Rubik

But back to the creator. Ernö Rubik is a Hungarian inventor, sculptor and architect, born in Budapest during World War II on July 13, 1944. During his student years, Ernö received the specialty of a civil engineer. After he taught at the Budapest Academy of Applied Arts and Crafts, and it was there, at the age of 30, striving to more clearly and easily explain to students the model of the foundations of mathematical groups, Ernö Rubik invented his famous Magic Cube, as it was originally called. It took the creator more than a month to create it and search for solution algorithms. That is, the beloved by millions of toys was created as a teaching aid.

Did you know that the Rubik's Cube has 43 252 003 274 489 856 000 possible combinations, and only 1 correct solution!

In the 80s, the Rubik's Cube conquered the Soviet Union and became the most popular puzzle toy. In those same years, Ernö Rubik himself became the editor of the magazine of games and puzzles. And in 1983, the genius inventor founded his own Rubik Studio, which to this day is engaged in the development of various kinds of educational games.

By the way, did you know that Ernö Rubik was the first millionaire in Eastern Europe! And in the late 1980s, he founded the International Rubik Foundation, which supported and supports young inventors.

Today, the creator of such famous puzzles as the Snake, Cube, Ball and Rubik's Rings, Ernö Rubik lives in the suburbs of Budapest and is already developing electronic puzzles and video games.

And although I started my article with the Magic Cube, I would like to talk about his other famous invention - the Snake puzzle.

Puzzle "Rubik's Snake"

The Rubik's Snake puzzle is a line consisting of 24 isosceles prisms connected to each other. The prisms are connected by hinges and allow you to collect more than 100 two- and three-dimensional models: geometric shapes, animals and other associative models.

In our family, the next invasion of hobby for this puzzle happened before the New Year. One day, the children had their own snakes. (By the way, of all Advent surprises, these are the most beloved and most desired ones. Children return to them every day). And every now and then I had to collect the ball, which is still difficult for children.

The puzzle toy Rubik's Snake develops spatial and logical thinking, fantasy, imagination. And how it decorates family evenings! .. when someone, carried away by the assembly, asks to guess what or whom he collected, then after 10 minutes, the snakes begin to run from hand to hand, and you have to stand in line to play

What we love to collect:

  • Ball
  • The snake itself
  • Geometric figures
  • Numbers
  • Dogs, birds and cats of different sizes
  • Pigtails, etc.
  • But boys, there are boys, and on their account there are already several types of weapons collected from Rubik's Snake.)))

But, after all, the main thing is that they collect !!! Snake Puzzle Games empower the imagination, develop logical thinking, stimulate creativity, and incredibly improve spatial thinking.

Want to see what and how we can collect? In this video, I have shown only 7 figures so far, but the most beloved ones. And this is just the beginning!
