Island fireplaces

Island fireplaces are buildings located in the middle of a room and not connected to any of its walls. These can be brick buildings and metal ready-made fireplaces that have the most unexpected shapes. And, the latter can be suspended, hanging over the floor surface.

Masonry

- fill the joints with cement mortar
- the required thickness of the seams is about 4 mm

- the inside of the fireplace must be smooth
- do not level the chimney from the outside with clay mortar
- use a rounded brick to narrow the chimney
- leave gaps of 7-8 mm between metal elements, given the property of metal to expand when heated
- overlap the firebox only from bricks
